The Wake, was made as a proof of concept for the feature film Svetlana (curently in development). The project recieved development support from Screen Australia. Whilst the feature script has been shortlisted by The Sundance Institute Development lab multiple times We had a lot of fun creating the short. From our wonderful leads and crew to street casting within the community, the process was a real clash of different worlds. Shot over three days in suburban Melbourne the short went on to screen at various festivals and was nominated for several awards at the St Kilda Film Festival. 'Svetlana' which is currently in development has beenshortlisted multiple times by the Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
